There did seem to be some differences within KWPN breeders when I was there. Sitting in the stands at the stallion show there was much discussion and at times vigorous disagreement about selections made or passed on. The stallion selection jury seemed bent on jumpers---they completely passed on the best moving horse there. The dutch breeders sitting around me (bless them for speaking english!) had no problem agreeing on the fact that inside the KWPN was discussion on the future of the registry and where it was headed. They seemed to want a lighter, more supple horse. But no gelderlanders. Then they bring out a gelderlander that would knock you out. The crowd goes wild. No one will breed to that stallion.....well, except me.
